Little Black Books
"Little Black Books" is a collection of three books about three different techniques used to predict the future. These works serve as an initiation into the different methods, introducing the reader to the world of the mystical, the occult, and the esoteric.
The term "Little Black Book" usually designates a personal notebook filled with secrets, hence the perfect name for this series.
Due to the taboo nature of these topics, the book covers are produced with thermochromic, heat-sensitive material. Untouched, the book covers are almost entirely black, with only the title "Little Black Book" visible on the cover and spine, and the barcode on the back cover. But when you pick up the book, the warmth of your hand reveals its true subject, making them little mysteries hidden in plain sight.
This project was created as part of the Design II subject of the 3rd year of the Communication Design degree of the Faculty of Fine Arts of Porto.

The Little Black Book Of Tasseography
This first work in the series introduces the reader to the art of tasseography, the reading of tea leaves from an empty cup to determine the future of the individual who drank it.
To illustrate this method, leafy branches adorn the front and back cover, and the book is vibrant black and green to refer to the color of the tea leaves.

The Little Black Book Of Tarot
This second work presents the art of cartomancy, the interpretation of randomly chosen (or drawn) tarot cards to decipher the future of the person whose fortune is being read.

The last book in the series presents the art of palmistry, the reading of the lines on someone's hand to better understand their future.
To illustrate this method, hands decorate the front and back cover of the work, accompanied by the symbols of the sun and the moon. These aspects have been included because of their presence in the art and because of their importance in it.
