Humanity's Reflection
In 2018, I made a project containing several collages that represent the world in which we live in, and our species. Given the political and social climates at the time, I took a negative approach, pointing out the various problems we create and face, as humans.
Political threats represented by a game of chance: playing cards.
Opulence contrasted with extreme poverty, represented by a method of predicting the future: the reading of tea leaves.
War, represented by a method of predicting the future: reading from the palm of your hand.
The destruction of our habitat, climate change, represented by a game of luck: the coin toss.
Terrorism, represented by a game of chance: the rolling of dice.
The toxic side of social media, represented by a game of luck: slot machines.
